When I Feel Crazy

“See, I am the Lord’s servant,” said Mary. “May it happen to me as you have said.” ...
Luke 1:38 CSB

Have you ever had a God-moment and after the fact you were like, “Woah.. that was crazy. It was probably just me.” Then He starts giving you cool confirmations in His word on that thing to show you it was most definitely Him.
Yea, I love it when that happens.
Also, usually when that happens and He gives you a word, all heck breaks loose and everything will appear opposite of what he told you. And that’s when it gets hard, or You’ll feel crazy. The enemy definitely doesn’t want us to get ahold of anything God has for us. So it makes sense!
We have to learn to fight for the seed and stand on that word! His word! His wisdom in our circumstances and mysteries life throws at us.
I love Mary’s attitude when the angel came with the amazing news that God chose her to bear His Son.
If you think about it, Jesus was conceived out of wedlock. And with good reason. He had to have untainted, pure blood to set us free. He couldn’t come from earthly man, but from our Heavenly Father. Conceived by the Holy Spirit.
In the natural, that looked wrong. And crazy (I mean... it’s the talk of the town now for a God-fearing woman to get pregnant out of wedlock, so can you imagine back then?).
But she chose to go through whatever she had to, to obey God. And to bring about his beautiful and perfect plan. She didn’t care what other people thought or how crazy she may have looked. She knew what God told her and that He had an amazing thing to fulfill with her being a big part of that. (She even knew Joseph would probably call off the engagement. God handled it.).
But she trusted that despite what she may go through, God would honor her decision to obey. She chose obedience and agreement, even though she definitely had a choice.
“I am the Lord’s servant, may it happen to me as you have said...”
Her trust, her obedience, her faith. It’s something for us to ponder and definitely learn from.
Let’s be like Mary.
